EVOLUTION DU FACTEUR DE CONDITION DE HEMICHROMIS FASCIATUS PETERS, 1852 DANS LE LAC DE BARRAGE HYDROELECTRIQUE DE SELINGUE AU MALI

2020
AbstractAs part of the fish ecobiology study, the condition factor reflects the physiological state. The conditionfactor of Hemichromis fasciatus Peters, 1852, fish of economic interest, was calculated during the hotdry season and the rainy season (March to October 2017). The study was carried out in the Selinguehydroelectric dam area at 517 specimens from the total weight and standard length. Monthlymonitoring of the average condition factor showed that the condition factor varies from month tomonth and from sex to sex. Three peaks are recorded in May, July and September in males and inApril, July and September in females corresponding to periods when the physiological state ofspecimens harvested was optimal. Weight loss or weight loss is observed in May, June, August andOctober in fish. These months could be considered as periods of active reproduction, probably thelaying phases.Fishing could be regulated for Hemichromis fasciatus during the rainy season. During this period thefish could be vulnerable to fishing gear.Key words: Condition factor, Hemichromis fasciatus, Selingue lake, Mali
