The interaction of metal-amines with keratin—I. Infrared studies of the binding of Zn(II) to keratin

Abstract The reaction between zinc ethylene diamine and keratin, a fibrous protein, has been examined, and structural change in the protein has been suggested. Shifts in the characteristic keratin bands of an amide structure has been discussed.
