The competitive series of original research publications presented in the paper is an outstanding contribution to the physics of separation and highly selective electrophysical recovery of a target component in the coordinates of the function of variation of internal structure, composition and properties of liquids under the action of external electric fields. The series of papers is devoted to the effect of electrically induced selective drift of solvated ions observed by the authors in salt solutions in polar dielectric fluids under the action of external electric fields. Specific conditions for the occurrence of this effect include electrical insulation of the solution from the field forming electrodes and difference in the half-period amplitudes of periodical voltage. Experimental and theoretical research into the physical processes accompanying the interaction of the periodic electric wave field with solutions in polar dielectric liquids considering the existence and the features of the internal solution structure produced fundamentally new results of current relevance.
