Geoscience education and training : in schools and universities, for industry and public awareness

The volume is prepared by AGID in association with COGEOED. It relates to an international conference held at Southampton, the first ever held on the topic on such an international scale and with such a breadth of topic coverage. The 90 articles included in this work have been carefully structured under School education (embracing school curricula & teacher training); University education; Education for business, industry and the public service, public awarenesss and the role of women in geoscience. Each section has a concise introduction prepared by the section editor(s), and it is concluded by three impressions of the conference by senior delegates and the convenor. This volume provides a major reference work for those in any way involved in geoscience education.
