O impacto da doença de Chagas no cotidiano do portador The impact of Chagas' disease in daily patient

Chagas’ disease (CD) is a public health problem that causes a significant impact on quality of life of their sufferers. The aim of this study was to analyze the impact of CD in daily of patients. This is an exploratory research with qualitative approach with analysis phenomenological. For data collection was carried out semi-structured interviews with 12 people with the CD, enrolled in the Family Health Strategy Itacambira, Minas Gerais. The data were subjected to discourse analysis. In the interviews, it was observed that the knowledge acquired by the holder is popular and nonspecific, resulted of information from other persons of the same culture. It appears that the role of health professionals about the guidelines of patients with Chagas is not fulfilled. The CD has a great impact on worker health for striking a man's role in society. The patient has difficulty performing activities that work previously performed due to limitations imposed by the disease. Research has shown the importance of health professionals to guide the patients, mainly in endemic areas of CD, to maintain a healthy
