A surveyor's expanded guide to the Galaxy

1990
Abstract Satellites orbiting the Earth provide the surveyor with the most vital of information, namely, location. What is not generally realised is that other satellites can also be a source of information for the surveyor. Satellite sensors are continually recording data from which images of the Earth's surface can be generated. This paper provides background information to enable the surveyor to access this remotely sensed data.
