Nowadays, it is increasingly difficult to please and win over customers, in the case of Personal Trainers (Kotler, 2000), and due to the growing demand for Personal Trainers in the market, there is an increase in the demands to win customers. The objective of the study was to identify the determining factors for hiring a Personal Trainer from the perspective of students enrolled in the training program observed by the Personal Trainer and bodybuilders without observation. Method: this research is characterized as descriptive of quantitative character, where 40 individuals were interviewed, 13 men and 27 women with an average age of 30.45 (± 10.5), the instrument used was a questionnaire prepared by the author, for analysis Descriptive statistics were performed using data with central and dispersive trend values of the absolute and relative frequency quantitative variables, using data of mean and standard deviation and percentage. Results and Discussion: the professional's posture pointed out to be the most relevant factor, for both groups, these data refer to the questions about punctuality, courtesy, organization and concern with the client that the professional must have to stand out in the competition. Meaning directed to professional posture. In addition to these, for the group that already uses the PT service, physical appearance and level of knowledge proved to be one of the determining factors for the client when hiring, when compared with the other group. For individuals who do not use the PT service, the value of the class seems to be decisive when choosing the appropriate professional, in addition to this, the level of knowledge and curriculum respectively, also proved to be relevant. Conclusion: Considering the results presented, it is clear that professional attitude such as: punctuality, courtesy, concern and organization are the most relevant factors for hiring the Personal Trainer service for both groups investigated.
