EFICIÊNCIA DE UM COLETOR FLUTUANTE PARA A CAPTURA DE puerulus DE LAGOSTAS DO GÊNERO Panulirus WHITE

A floating puerulus collector, adapted from the Australian model, was developed at the Marine Science Laboratory (LABOMAR), Federal University of Ceara,Brazil. The collector was tested at Mucuripe Beach (Fortaleza, Ceara State) and shows to be efficient and resistent to the local conditions. The average catches of pueruli per month was 6.55 in 1990 and 6.62 in 1991, resulting in indexes of 1.31 and 1.32 ind./collector/month, respectively.
