A Study on the Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio as an Early Predictor of Short Term Mortality in Patients with Stroke

2019
BACKGROUND: The aim of the study is to find the correlation between the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and stroke outcome. METHODOLOGY: Our study included 100 patients of stroke admitted in medicine department and their outcome was correlated with NLR. RESULTS: In our study, we have found out statistically significant correlation between neutrophil lymphocyte ratio and stroke outcome, both in hospital mortality and 30-day mortality. CONCLUSION: There may be many factor which predict the outcome of stroke in which neutrophil lymphocyte ratio(NRL) is a simple bedside tool to predict the stroke outcome
