Weight training after illness: a two phase approach.

1998
: While aerobic exercise is good for cardiovascular health and fitness, people who want to build muscle mass need to do repetitive weight exercises. These strength-building exercises should be done safely and in moderation; overtraining is probably the most ignored limiting factor in exercise. Weight training stimulates muscles to respond to stress by building mass. A three-day workout schedule is included, with each day's exercises targeting specific muscle groups.
