Bir Üniversite Hastanesi Psikiyatri Polikliniğine Başvuran Hastalarin Sosyodemografik Özellikleri ile Tani Gruplari Arasindaki İlişki

The study aimed at analyzing the relations between the socio-demographic features of the patients applied to PsychiatryPoliclinic of the Medicine Faculty in Kafkas University in a year and diagnostic groups. The data obtained from 1378patient registries between May 2010 and 2011 were evaluated. 65.7% (n=906) of patients were females, 34.3% (n=472)of patients were males. The mean of age is 34.9 ± 16.505. 56.7% (n=781) of the patients was under 35 years old. Themajority of the patients were city habitants. According to DSM-IV-TR diagnostic criteria, the percentage of mood disorderwas 56.5% (n=779), anxiety disorder was 28.8% (n=398), somatoform disorder was 1.3% (n=19), psychotic disorderwas 5.3% (n=74), attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity (ADHD) and behavioral disorder was 5.6% (n=78). Themajority of the sample was females. The frequent diagnostics were mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD andbehavioral disorders respectively. It was also found that there was a difference between the rates of the applicants to thepolyclinic in the diagnostic and control groups.
