STUDY CONCERNING THE POTENTIAL AND THE IMPACT OF AGROTOURISM ON ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF VALCEA COUNTY

The study is mainly designed to reveal the opportunity of emergence anddevelopment of agrotourism activity in the north of Oltenia, particularly in Valcea County. Ithas been made a lasting and comprehensive study of the region from which it showedvery clearly and realistically what are the favorable factors and economic impact ofagrotourism in social and cultural development.Finally the analysis and interpretation of the results concluded that agrotourismactivity has a role and a particularly significant impact in social and economic developmentof rural areas. The rational use of all natural and human agrotouristic resources, higherturning of the rich ethnographic and historical-cultural treasures, ensuring of theconservation and environmental protection, it really made a breakthrough in the evolution,development and emancipation of the Romanian village in the north of Oltenia.
