In a difficult time of politic and economic reformation processes, funding gap in healthcare system there are some negative tendencies in the health of the women which are planning for pregnancy. The increase in the number of smokers and drinkers among mothers, especially during pregnancy also takes place. It all affects the health status of newborn children. According to Russian scientists the gestational age and body weight at birth are critical factors for the fetus viability, and the leading causes aggravating the health of the fetus and newborn children are earlier infectious diseases of the reproductive system the mothers had passed through.
