The invention provides a bio-retention pond. The bio-retention pond includes a basic gravel layer, a separation layer, a separation part, a planting soil layer and a filtering layer, wherein the basic gravel layer is located at the bottom of bio-retention pond, the separation layer is located on the basic gravel layer, the separation part is located above the separation layer, an included angle exists between the separation layer and the separation part, the planting soil layer is located on one side of the separation part, the planting soil layer is filled with normal soil, and the filtering layer is located at the other side of separation plates and used for seepage. The planting soil layer is of a convexity structure of which the middle is high and the periphery is low; in this way, the partition divides the bio-retention pond into a drainage area and a planting area; when rainfall is relatively large, because the planting soil layer is of the convexity structure of which the middle is high and the periphery is low, rain water flow towards the outer side of the filter layer, the filter layer conducts filtration and seepage on the rain water, and the drainage requirements are met; in this way, a large quantity of rain water cannot be retained in the planting soil layer, the seepage force of the normal soil is not large so that normal evergreen plants can be planted in the planting soil layer, and landscape requirements can be met.
