This article is a literature review, which sought to analyze and discuss the processes of construction of a socio-territorial diagnosis, its importance as a means of crosssector planning and public policy, propose a work for its construction. The same is also possible to find an analysis of the relevant legislation, imposing the socioassistencial monitoring instrumentation and within the SUAS, in particular as regards the construction of socio-territorial diagnostics.
