Clinical Observation of Terazosin and Nifedipine on Patients with Essential Hypertension

Objective To investigate clinical effect of Terazosin and Nifedipine on 40 patients with essential hypertension.Methods 40 cases in patients of essential hypertension who had early morning high blood pressure were randomly divided into two groups,the treatment group(nifedipine terazosin combined treatment group,20 cases)and the control group(nifedipine treatment group,20 cases),two sets of treatment were 4 weeks.Before and after treatment blood pressure,liver and kidney function,blood lipids,blood sugar were checked.Results 15 cases were markedly effective,4 cases were effective and 1 case was ineffective in the treatment group,and the total effective rate was 95%;10 cases were markedly effective,5 cases,were effective and 5 case was ineffective in control group,and the total effective rate was 75%.Efficacy of the treatment group was significantly higher than the treatment group(P0.05).There were no adverse effects on liver and kidney function,blood sugar in both groups,while blood lipids were improved in the treatment group.Conclusion Terazosin combined with nifedipine provided a significant,stable,safe and reliable antihypertensive efficacy,and improved blood lipids,which was superior to nifedipine monotherapy plus the amount.
