Analysis of Differential Protection Maloperation Caused by Magnetizing Inrush Current of Current Transformer

The internal mechanism and characteristics of magnetizing inrush current of current transformer is analyzed.Based on theoretical analysis and simulation verification,the reason of differential protection maloperation caused by magnetizing inrush current is analyzed,and the mechanism that split phase principle based bus and line differential protection can't totally blocked magnetizing inrush current of current transformer is pointed out,and corresponding preventive measures are proposed.
