The analysis of the strengthening of an anisotropic autofrettaged cylindrical vessel

Abstract This paper derives a calculation method for the maximum working pressure and optimum plastic area / radius ratio for an autofrettaged cylindrical vessel made from anisotropic metal material with strengthening and analyses the strengthening condition of the vessel. The results of this numerical analysis show that this vessel can support a large pressure in certain conditions, in comparison with the autofrettaged cylindrical vessel made from isotropic metal material.
