An insulation monitoring system of a high-voltage cable sheath comprises a monitoring terminal host computer, a monitoring server and sampling sensors. The sampling sensors comprises metal-sheath current detectors of high-voltage cables, running current detectors, cable surface temperature sensors and grounding box temperature sensors; the metal-sheath current detectors, the running current detectors, the cable surface temperature sensors and the grounding box temperature sensors are connected with the monitoring terminal host computer; and the monitoring terminal host computer is connected to the monitoring server through a GPRS/CDMA wireless transmission network, the cable surface temperature sensors are connected with the monitoring terminal host computer through a T-shaped connector, and the grounding box temperature sensors are connected with the monitoring terminal host computer through a T-shaped connector. The insulation monitoring system has the advantages of simple and reasonable structure, good reliability and the like, work efficiency can be effectively improved, and electric power accidents are prevented from occurrence.
