1991
In Mexico, Latin America, and in general in the third world countries, cervical cancer constitutes a real health problem. One out of five malignant tumors in general is a cervical cancer, and almost one out of three women tumors are of this kind. On the other hand, due to the lack of health education, generally associated to the people with less economical resources, the number of patients who are at advanced stages at the moment of diagnosis is too high. In the General Occident Hospital where people of few resources are mainly assisted, the 23 To of the 384 cases were disgnosed in the stage II, the 10 Wo in the III stage, and the 5 Wo in stage IV.
