A method and an electronic device providing a function or a content relating to an application

An objective of the present invention is to improve user convenience. According to various embodiments of the present invention, an electronic device comprises: a housing including a cover glass and a rear cover facing the cover glass; a display including a first region and a second region connected to one end of the first region, and having a first state where the first region is exposed to the outside of the electronic device through the cover glass and a second state where the first region and the second region are exposed to the outside of the electronic device through the cover glass; and a processor electrically connected to the display. The processor is configured to acquire a first input of a user, configure a function or content related to an application based on the first input, output an object corresponding to the application to the first regions while the display is in the first state, acquire a second input of the user inputted for the object, and output a screen for the configured function or content to the display when the display is changed from the first state to the second state by the second input.
