DETERMINACION DEL POTENCIAL DE CARGA AEREA EN AEROPUERTOS ALTERNOS: UNA PROPUESTA METODOLOGICA

En este trabajo se propone y aplica una metodologia para determinar las empresas con potencial para generar carga aerea de comercio exterior en el Estado de Queretaro. Tambien se determinaron los distintos tipos de cargas con potencial de comercio exterior, y se midio el nivel de accesibilidad de las empresas con potencial, hacia y desde el aeropuerto de Queretaro. La base para determinar dicho potencial fue a traves de la aplicacion de un sistema de informacion geografica. Mediante este se determino el area de influencia a considerar y se reviso el tipo de infraestructura carretera. Para determinar el potencial se utilizaron parametros relacionados con la ubicacion espacial de las empresas, y sus tipos de insumos y productos. La ubicacion de las empresas fue comparada con el area de influencia del aeropuerto, y sus insumos y productos, contra las principales mercancias transportadas comunmente por el modo aereo. En una linea de investigacion futura, seria conveniente desarrollar una metodologia para determinar las empresas con potencial para generar carga aerea domestica. Los resultados se presentan en tablas y figuras para ilustrar los hallazgos. Los resultados y analisis obtenidos pueden ayudar a reforzar politicas publicas en el ambito del desarrollo territorial y de planeacion. Abstract: In this paper is proposed and applied a methodology in order to determine the companies in the State of Queretaro with foreign trade air cargo potential. Also, the different kinds of cargos with air foreign trade potential were determined; and the accessibility level among the companies with potential and the Queretaro airport was measured. This methodology is supported by a geographical information system. By means of this the hinterland of the airport was determined, and the road accessibility among the companies and the Queretaro airport was reviewed. In order to determine the companies with potential, parameters related to location, type of inputs required for processing and products were used. The company locations were compared with the airport hinterland, and the inputs and products were compared with the main merchandise commonly hauled by air transport. In a future research it would be convenient to develop a methodology in order to determine the companies with domestic trade air cargo potential. The results are presented using tables and figures to illustrate the findings. The results and analysis emanated from the application of this methodology could help to reinforce the public policies for territorial development and planning.
