Syntheses of novel N-[bis(trimethylsilyl)methyl]-1,2- and 1,3-diamines

Abstract Original N -[bis(trimethylsilyl)methyl]-1,2- and 1,3-diamines of type I were prepared either from bis-imination reaction of 1,2-dicarbonyl compounds with bis(trimethylsilyl)methylamine, BSMA ( 1 ) followed by reduction or from cyanoethylation of BSMA followed by reduction of the nitrile group. By varying the conditions of the cyanoethylation reaction bisaddition was obtained allowing to access to 5-[bis(trimethylsilyl)methyl]caldine ( 8 ). Download full-size image
