Culture and Regeneration of Protoplasts from Suspension Cells of Duboisia Species
1989
Protoplasts isolated from suspension cells of D. myoporoides, D. leichhardtii and D. hopwoodii were divided and formed colonies in the modified B5 medium, though there were differences among species with respect to culture conditions required for colony formation. Colonies developed into calli by the two-step culture methods. The calli of D. myoporoides and D. leichhardtii, but not of D. hopwoodii, regenerated shoots which gave rise to plants.
