The invention relates to the virtual reality technical field, and particularly relates to an intelligent terminal direction calibration method and apparatus, and a virtual reality device. When the virtual reality device is in the calibration setting state, the initial direction value of the angle measurement image obtained by rotary shooting with a predetermined axis is acquired; an initial image area corresponding to the initial direction value is determined in the angle measurement image, under the working state, the viewing image and the current first direction value of a direction sensor are acquired; the second direction value of the viewing image with respect to the initial image is determined by calculating the position of the viewing image in the angle measurement image; and the first direction value is calibrated by the second direction value. Before the virtual reality device enters the working state every time, the direction sensor is calibrated, and equivalently, every time the direction sensor is used, the direction sensor is in zero setting, and errors between the direction acquired by the sensor and the actual direction of a user are reduced.
