PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an olefin polymerization catalyst component and an olefin polymerization metallocene catalyst and provide a method for producing an olefin polymer by which the olefin polymer having a high molecular weight and a high melting point allowing extrusion molding and injection molding is obtained, and obtain a new transition metal compound used therefor. SOLUTION: The olefin polymerization catalyst component comprising a transition metal compound expressed by the formula, the olefin polymerization metallocene catalyst using the olefin polymerization catalyst component and the method for producing the olefin polymer using the olefin polymerization metallocene catalyst are provided.
