Sub-modeling Method in FE Analysis of Steel Anchor Box of Long Span Cable-stayed Bridge

Based on a domestic long span cable-stayed bridge as an example,using the finite element software ANSYS,the stress distribution of the bridge anchorage zone was studied respectively by sub-modeling method, equivalent thickness method and nonlinear contact method.The result shows that the sub-modeling method is more accurate compared to the traditional equivalent thickness method and nonlinear contact method,and is the most effective method in studying local stress distribution of the anchorage zone of long span cable-stayed bridge.
