Experimental data for the determination of 100 mm orifice meter discharge coefficients under different installation conditions (European programme)

This report presents the results of calibrations of 'thin' 100 mm orifice plates of diameter ratios 0.57 and 0.75 made under various installation conditions with and without the use of flow straighteners. Data were obtained by NEL using air and water and by Gasunie and Gaz de France using natural gas. These investigations form part of the EEC programme which has the objective of verifying or improving the values predicted for the discharge coefficient of orifice plate flowmeters.
