Joint Antenna Selection and User Scheduling in Downlink Multi-User MIMO Systems
2018
Massive Multi-Input Multi-Output (M-MIMO) is considered as a potential technology for the next generation wireless communication. A large number of antennas are deployed at both transmitting side and receiving side to serve numerous users. Complexity and cost of actual deployment is high. Antenna optimization selection and user scheduling are needful. In this work, we propose a low computational complexity sub-optimal user scheduling scheme based on Matrix Gauss Elimination Method (MGEM) and combine it with Maximum norm antenna selection to maximize users sum rate and reduce complexity, under the constraints based on the number of maximum service users and maximum transmit power. Simulation results are provided to verify that the proposed algorithm gains much improved sum rate performance over the Semi-orthogonal User Scheduling (SUS) algorithm and the lower complexity compared to the exhaustive search algorithm (ESA).
