Theoretical Calculations and Study of Horizontal Forces Acting on 4-Hi Sheet Stands During Rolling

Technical aspects and detailed method of horizontal forces calculation of contact interactions of WRs chocks (lining straps) and housings (facing strips) on drive side and operator side are shown, which can be used for analysis of dynamic loadings and optimization of design parameters of single sheet rolling stands or the first strip rolling stands of wide strip rolling mills. Given detailed method takes into account: design parameters of sheet rolling stand, contact stiffness of system ‘chock – housing’, damping inside system ‘chock – housing’ movements and linear velocities of movements of WR center of mass in fixed coordinate system.
