The invention belongs to macromolecule engineering plastic and the field of forming and processing thereof, and particularly relates to a flame retarding material of rapid prototyping glass fiber reinforced polyethylene glycol terephthalate and a preparation method thereof. The flame retarding material is prepared from PET (polyester) resin, composite crystallization nucleating agent, crystallization promoter, composite flame retardant, filling reinforcing agent and other processing assistants. The mass portions of all components are as follows: 40-80 portions of PET resin, 0.2-3 portions of composite crystallization reinforcing agent, 0.5-5 portions of crystallization promoter, 10-25 portions of composite flame retardant, 10-50 portions of filling reinforcing agent and 0.5-5 portions of other processing assistants. The rapid prototyping technology adopted and the rapid prototyping glass fiber reinforced PET flame retarding material prepared by the method solve the defects of PET usedas engineering plastic such as slow crystallization rate, high injection molding die temperature and long molding cycle during process of forming and processing. The flame retarding material can be widely applied to manufacture parts in terms of electronics and electrics, electric tools, energy saving lamps, family appliances, automibles and the like.
