There is provided a method of manufacturing the multilayer ceramic capacitor, a multilayer ceramic capacitor comprising: a ceramic body; active layer comprising a plurality of alternately exposed to both end surfaces of the ceramic body of the first internal electrode and the second internal electrode and the dielectric layer is interposed between the first internal electrode and the second internal electrode; and a lower cap layer on the cap layer, is formed on the upper surface and the lower surface of the effective layer; and a first external electrode and a second external electrodes formed on the end surfaces of the ceramic body, wherein, when the thickness of the ceramic body is defined as T, the thickness of the active layer is defined as S, a thickness of the cap layer defined by C, from the lowermost internal electrode in the longitudinal direction a defined distance with the end portion of the portion near the internal electrode end portion of the lowermost end to the external electrode when a, satisfies 0.25≤S / T≤0.75 and 3≤A / C≤10.
