Assessment of the Congestion of Emissary Veins and Scalp Edema in Cerebral Venous Thrombosis

2021
The impact of cerebral venous thrombosis on the emissary veins is not well documented. Our study evaluates the presence of scalp edema and the congestion of the emissary veins on magnetic resonance imaging in patients with cerebral venous thrombosis, idiopathic intracranial hypertension and multiple sclerosis in order to determine whether these signs could represent a marker of cerebral venous thrombosis.
