Políticas e intervención institucional sobre producción y empleo en municipios del Conurbano Bonaerense

A characterization is attempted on the political-institutional framework promoting economic development and labor employment in north-western municipalities of the Greater Buenos Aires Area (San Miguel, Malvinas Argentinas and Jose C. Paz) in 2009-2017. We focus on the way the matrix of production-oriented policies is reshaped since the inauguration of a new political coalition at both the national and provincial levels. While the policy-making process is conditioned by socio economic factors, the scope of the local governments interventions strongly depends on additional factors, such as the intergovernmental relations established by the local government, the networks of organizations / actors at territorial level and the capacities or degrees of institutional consolidation of municipal management.
