Embedded 5G Wideband Dual-Polarized mm-Wave Antennas and 60-GHz Motion-Recognition mm-Wave Antennas in a Non-mm-Wave Antenna Integrating Packages (AiAiP) in a Full-Screen Metal-Framed Phone

2021
The novel three-in-one design of wideband dual-polarized mm-Wave antennas for the 5th generation mobile communications (5G) and 60-GHz mm-Wave antennas for the motion recognition embedded in a non-mm-Wave antenna based on the AiAiP solution for a full-screen metal-framed cell phone is proposed. By sharing the same metal structure, this design can cover all current 5G mm-Wave bands (n258, n257, n261, and n260) coded by the third generation partnership project (3GPP), the 60-GHz band (57.0–64.0 GHz) for the motion recognition, and the long-term evolution (LTE) Bands 8, 40, and 41. This highly and advanced integrated three-in-one design thus enables multifunctional radiations in compact space for stylish phones.
