Gambaran Efikasi Diri Pada Usia Lanjut Penderita Hipertensi Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Mojolaban Sukoharjo

Elderly is someone who has reached the age above 60 years. A person's age will be accompanied by several degenerative diseases and decreased physiological function. One of the degenerative diseases is hypertension. Hypertension is a disease characterized by an increase in systolic blood pressure ≥140mmHg and diastolic blood pressure ≥90 mmHg. Lifestyle in patients with hypertension can be influenced by high and low self-efficacy.Self-efficacy is one's belief in one's ability to change behavior in accordance with the conditions of both the environment and oneself to achieve the desired success. This study aims to determine the description of self-efficacy in the elderly who suffer from hypertension.. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative with cross sectional descriptive approach. This research was conducted in February 2020 in the working area of the Mojolaban Sukoharjo Public Health Center. The sampling technique in this study is to use a quota sampling technique with a total of 90 respondents. Data collection was performed using a self-efficacy questionnaire in elderly patients with hypertension. The results of this study are as many as 51 people (56.7%) elderly people with hypertension have low self-efficacy while 39 people (43.3%) have high self-efficacy.. The conclusion of this study, self-efficacy in the elderly who suffer from hypertension tends to be low. Researchers suggest that health workers be able to provide health education about hypertension, especially how to control lifestyles for people with hypertension in the elderly and their families in order to improve self-efficacy.
