2014
Smoke from the Colby Fire, burning in the Angeles National Forest above Glendora, continues to greatly impact air quality in areas outside of LAUSD boundaries. Although winds have diminished this morning, the South Coast Air Management District has reported that smoke and unhealthful levels of air pollution may be experienced at times in other areas throughout Los Angeles County should the wind pick up. If schools are directly impacted by smoke, vigorous outdoor or indoor activity should be avoided. In these areas, sensitive or susceptible persons, such as those with lung and heart conditions should avoid all outdoor activities entirely.
