STUDI PERENCANAAN MANAGEMENT BANDWIDTH WIRELESS HOTSPOT DENGAN METODE BUILT-IN LIMITER DI SMK ASSANADIYAH PALEMBANG

Managament bandwidth can be done using a router. A router is a device that will pass IP packets from one network to another, using certain addressing and protocol methods to skip packets. One of the routers known today is the MikroTik Router. MikroTik Router can be hardware that has been available Router OS (operating system) used on routerboard. Or MikroTik Router can also be installed into a PC (personal computer) so it can function as a router. The test results of managament bandwidth in SMK Assanadiyah Palembang using Built-in Limiter method applied to mikrotik routerboard proved quite reliable and very effective in managing bandiwidth to user hotspot especially in school scope for internet speed and internet usage more effective and efficient. The results on Teacher's profile obtained an average download bandwidth value of 503 kbps and an average upload of 500 kbps, while the student profile obtained an average download bandwidth value of 253 kbps and an average upload of 240 kbps and the guest profile obtained bandwidth value average download of 127 kbps and average upload of 113 kbps
