This book presents the most recent experiences of the Programme of Bioethics and Ethics of Science for Latin America and the Caribbean, promoted by UNESCO since 2005. With the purpose of promoting exchange and cooperation between the countries that have faced the effort to create and to consolidate a national bioethics committee or commission (NBC), the book seeks to share the work and commitments of each country, while updating ideas about the learnings and challenges of NBCs in Latin America and the Caribbean, in the voice of its promoters.
