A espetacularização de identidades nacionais em cerimônias de abertura dos jogos olímpicos

Aims to historicize the spectacularization of national identities in the Olympic Games opening ceremonies of the Modern Era, under a qualitative approach using bibliographic research to collect the data. Traditional and digital media about the ceremonies were analyzed through a socio-historical interpretation of the documents and visual scenes (GOLIOT-LETE; VANOYE, 2015). The results point to singularities in the content of the displayed national identities, presenting the event's technological evolution and the artistic expansion idealized by the host countries for theatrical productions of gigantic dimensions throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.
