INDICAÇÃO DE USO DE ESPÉCIES VEGETAIS PARA O TRATAMENTO DA CELULITE COM FINS COSMÉTICOS INDICATION OF USE OF PLANT FOR TREATING CELLULITIS FOR COSMETIC PURPOSES

Cellulite affects most women in post pubertal age than men, causing topographic changes in gynoid region whose appearance resemble the look "orange -peel". It is characterized by an overload of fat located due to the number of adipocytes (adipocyte hypertrophy) or due to the association of the two phenomena to which are added an accumulation of toxins and water. Natural products have already played an important role in aesthetic treatments in general due to the fact that plants have a wide variety of secondary metabolites. This study aims to review the literature on the action of herbal active substances for the treatment of cellulite looking for a non-invasive alternative for treatment. Specific books and scientific articles in the field were used for this research. Both of them are found in the literature the use of extracts of Coffea arabica, Paullinia cupana; Lycium barbarum, Vitis vinifera, Melilotus officinalis, Centella asiatica, Aesculus hippocastanum, Zingiber officinale and Rosmarinus officinalis for the treatment and /or prevention. In all the extracts, there are substances that reduce vascular permeability include antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and soothing.
