Stress Rupture Testing and Research of 30Cr1Mo1V Steel

The mechanical properties and the technology properties of 30Cr1Mo1V steel are excellent.So this kind of steel is used as HP(high pressure) rotor in steam turbine since the 90s of the 20th century.Today 30Cr1Mo1V steel is also used in 23.5～25 MPa, 538～540℃ /538～566℃ supercritical turbine.In this paper, samples are selected from several rotors manufactured by different countries.It is discussed that howmuch do the content of C, Cr, Mo, V and the grain size affect short-term stress rupture strength of this steel.And for obtaining the best elevated temperature behavior, the main alloy elements contents and grain sizes are optimized.
