En los ultimos anos se han incluido nuevos enfoques rela· donados con el analisis y conservacion del patrimonio salinero, asi como con la influencia de la produccion salina en la explotacion economica y el habitat de un territorio determinado. Poco a poco se va aceptando entre los historia· dores la influencia notable que la sal ejercio en la Espana medieval y moderna, comparable a la que ejercieron otros productos. El volumen de informacion reunido sobre la sal hispana es tan considerable que sintetizarlo en el espacio de un articulo se vuelve tarea imposible, por lo que solo se ha pretendido esbozar una vision general del pasado preindustrial de este mineral indispensable para la vida de personas y animales, lo que obliga, desde luego, a pres· cindir de enfoques y numerosos matices que enriquecen el estudio del pasado de la sal. In recent years new approaches have been included in the analysis and conservation of the salt patrimony, as wetl as the influence of satine production on the economic exploitation and habitat of a particular territory. little by little the historians accept the remarkable influence that the salt exer· ted in medieval and modern Spain, comparable to that which other products exert. The volume of information ga· thered on Spanish salt is so considerable that synthesizing it in the space of an article becomes impossible task, so it has only been intended to outline an overview of the pre-industrial past of this mineral essential for the lives of people and animals, which forces, of course, to dispense with approaches and numerous nuances that enrich the study of the past of salt.
