The Habeol sandy body is a tidal sand ridge located in the Gyeonggi Bay, which is macrotidal environment with tidal ranges of up to 9m(Park, 2006). This sandy body is characterized as a bugle-shape which is getting narrower toward NE with 9.2㎞ length and 5.4 ~ 0.8㎞. This is present in water -3 ~ 3lm(below DLI)) and has trough(> 35m DL) in the each side. As a result of sub-bottom profile analysis, this deposits are consist of three seismic unit(Unit Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ). Interpretation of seismic and lithologic data has shown that the regional sea-level changes are not only play a major role in the evolution of sand body and the seabed topography and tidal flow have achieved regime existence of sand body in the presenu about(< 5,000yr B.P.).
