Reactions of metal oxide anions

1993
Abstract Molybdenum oxide anion clusters are produced from a filament source and studied in a fast flow apparatus. Reactions of these clusters with several oxidants including O 2 , NO, and NO 2 are presented. The mechanisms of these reactions are explored by examining the pressure dependence of the rate coefficients. The reactions proceed by either oxygen atom abstraction or adduct formation. Rate constants and branching ratios are reported.
