The antiproliferative effect of lymphoblastoid α interferon and its ability to re-induce or amplify major histocompatibility complex antigen expression on human renal carcinoma cells in culture
1994
Expression of Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) antigens by renal carcinoma cells declined as the period of culture increased. Exposure to α-IFN produced a dose dependant induction or increase in Class I MHC Ag expression by cells, growing in vitro, from half of the tumours studied (MS in preparation). The present experiments examine the relationship between the effect of α-IFN on cell proliferation and MHC Ag expression in individual tumours.
