The placing head (20) comprises a drawer (40) and a displacement actuator (41) connected to the drawer (40) for moving in translation the slide (40) from an upper position (PSUP) to a lower position (PINF ), the slide (40) carrying a peeling roller (51), said protective tape (12) extending over a circular arc (100) against the peeling roller (51), said lower position (PINF) being configured so that said peeling roller (51) presses said tape impregnated fibers (11) against a deposition surface (2) only in the lower position (PINF) of the drawer (40), said arc (100) covering a first angle (teta1) in the lower position (PINF) of the drawer (40) and a second angle (teta2) in the upper position (PSUP) of the drawer (40), said first angle (teta1) being greater than said second angle (teta2 ).
