The present invention relates to a bearing arrangement for a rapidly rotating electric machine (2) comprising a respective arranged in the axial direction upstream and downstream of the rotor (8) of the electric motor bearings. According to the invention the roller bearings, preferably as a spherical roller bearing (10, 12, 36) are formed, whose rolling bodies (15, 46) opposite to the spherical shape laterally flattened, having mutually parallel end surfaces. By the omission of the spherical caps (32, 34) gained space can associated to increase the grease deposits, for enhancing the bearing, the grease Depot outward sealing sealing rings (42, 44) for axial shortening of the bearing or (with the same axial bearing width b ) can be used for enlarging the ball roller diameter.
