Ontology based approach to development of augmented reality applications

In recent years, ontologies and semantic representations are becoming more and more used for improvement of software development process. In this paper, ontology based approach is adopted to development of augmented reality (AR) applications. As outcome, we propose a framework for automated AR application code generation leveraging ontologies and semantic annotations of builidng information model (BIM). It is tested in two case studies: electronic guide to university students and smart home application.
