Modelling of CO2 storage and long term behaviour in the Casablanca field

Abstract To perform the evaluation of CO 2 storage capacity of the Casablanca field operated by RIPSA, IFP has simulated three CO 2 injection scenarios, using a compositional model. In addition, IFP have studied some migration possibilities of the stored CO 2 through faults that could connect the Casablanca field to an upper permeable reservoir. For this study, it has been supposed that all the reinjected CO 2 is migrating through the faults at the same rate that it would be injected in the storage reservoir.
